About Me
As a Licensed Addiction Counselor, (LAC) I’ve been providing therapy to adolescents and adults for over 30 years. I hold certifications as an Advanced Substance Abuse Counselor (ADC), Co-Occurring Counselor (CCDPD), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS).
My career began in 1989 at an inpatient adolescent treatment center while I was attending Louisiana College. After completing addiction studies, I earned my Board-Certified Substance Abuse Counselor Certification (BCSAC) in 1993. In 2000, I helped open and served as Director of an Adolescent Drug Court Program. I worked extensively with adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings for over 18 years.
Since 2003, I’ve worked with adults at Red River Treatment Center and continue to support individuals on their recovery journey. I’m trained in:
- Motivational Interviewing (MI)
- Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
As someone in recovery myself, I bring both personal insight and professional experience to my work. I’m passionate about helping others overcome substance use and truly love what I do.
